AHF's Board of Directors

James I. Fletcher, Chairman
Jim Fletcher, Chairman of the Board of Directors, has nearly 50 years experience in the purchase and renovation of real estate properties for rent and sale. He is also experienced in property management services. Throughout his life, Mr. Fletcher has been involved with many civic affiliations including the Masonic Lodge-Shriners of North America, Livestock Association, the Will Rogers Range Riders, and the American Associations of Sheriff's Posse. His achievements include serving as the Commissioner of Randall County Precinct 1, and has served in many positions in various Judges and Commission Associations in the Texas Panhandle.

Scott Rice, Director
Scott Rice is the Co-Director of Brush Ranch Camps near Tererro, New Mexico. He is an active member of both the American Camping Association and the Western Association of Independent Camps. During the nine months that Brush Ranch Camps is not open, he and his wife also run the Brush Ranch School, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides an education for children with learning disabilities.

Betty Sterquell, Director
Betty Sterquell is a long time member of the Amarillo community and a well established civic volunteer. She is a charter member/organizer and board member of several social organizations including Camp Alphie, a camp for children who have or have had cancer, Committee of 100, an organization dedicated to economic development, The High Plains Food Bank, The Discovery Center, CPA Wives, and the Amarillo Art Alliance. Ms. Sterquell was also a school teacher for many years.

Randy Sharp, Director
Randy Sharp has lived in Amarillo most of his life, and is highly involved in the community. Currently, Mr. Sharp is the Secretary/Treasurer of Mays Investment Co. He is also the President of Meals on Wheels Board of Directors, and President of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Mr. Sharp serves as a member of many organizations including Evaline Rivers Make a Child Smile, The Amarillo Symphony, Amarillo Botanical Gardens and the Better Business Bureau of Amarillo. He is also the President of the Baylor Parents League Amarillo Chapter, and is a Board member for the Development Council for Baylor University. Mr. Sharp is a very active member in his church.

Maria Zambrano, Director
Maria is employed at Hastings Books and Records. She has 4 children (17, 15, 13 and 7). Maria has lived at Glenwood Apts. since Sept., 2004. Maria said that her supervisor encourages community participation and would allow her to represent Glenwood on the AHF Board of Directors."

Steve Hoggard, Director
Steve grew up in Dimmitt, Texas and has lived in Amarillo almost 10 years. He attended College at the East Coast Bible College and West Texas A&M University. Steve is married to Laura and they have 4 children (ages 4, 3, 1, and 6 month old). Steve is currently a part of the Reach Team at Glenwood Apartment Community and has lived there since August 2006.
