After School Programs
Today, millions of children return
to an empty home after school. When the school bell rings,
the anxiety for parents often just begins. They worry about
whether their children are safe, whether they are susceptible to
drugs and crime. In response to this pressing concern, some of our communities
have created after-school programs to keep children and youth
out of trouble and engaged in activities that help them learn.
After-school programs provide a wide array of benefits to
children, their families, schools, and the whole community.
Valentine Card Program & Party
This program is win-win
for everyone. AHF provides a box of valentine cards to all
children and they enjoy a party with snacks and drinks where
they sign valentine cards to give to residents that have family
serving in the military. The cards are mailed and the military
personnel receive a valentine card from home!
Color A Smile Program
AHF partners with Color A Smile.
Color a Smile is a non-profit organization that collects crayon drawings
from school children and then mails the 'crayon masterpieces'
throughout the United States to Nursing Homes and Individuals.
AHF promotes this program to encourage community involvement
and coloring!
Kids Club Programs
These programs are provided by faith-based
organization to promote and teach caring behavior, leadership skills
and decision making skills while promoting faith based teachings.
Reward Excellence (report card incentive program)

encourages children to bring in their report cards and in turn they are
given zoo tickets to be used when they want.
